and what an adventure it was.
My adventure to Rome for Vespa’s 80th Anniversary celebrations was a, for me, a trip of a lifetime.
Over a year in the planning to get Phoenix my Vespa GTS 300 HPE up to to match fitness for the 2500 mile plus return trip.
For those who have not seen the epic video yet here is a link to my youtube channel where you can see the epic trip while having a nice cup of coffee at your desk
It was very HOT riding down the spine of Europe and back again but as you can see from the video above a thourghly worthwhile adventure.
The BAD bit.
For me the saddest part of the whole trip was not having the time to slow right down and use my Hasselblad cm 500, i did take a few shots but nearly as much as I hoped. A lesson learned and one I will be correcting now we are back in the UK.
The GOOD bit
But I did shot a roll of Kodak Gold 200 on my Canon AE-1 and here are the scans of those shots.
Scenic scenes

Rome

The Vespa Village

The Scooters

From the video to these film pictures you can see we had a great time and if I am able to in another 20 years maybe I will write another post about my trip to celebrate Vespa 100th anniversery.
Wishing you well and safe journeys
