Autumn and winter riding season is here whether we like it or not. My 05:20 ride to work this morning made it crystal clear \u2014 the chill has arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019ve all had that moment: spring and summer meant breezing about in A-rated jeans, light jackets, and summer gloves. Now it\u2019s back into the thick AAA kit, with the winter gloves pulled out of retirement. Batteries are back on charge, ready to warm the hands in unison with the grips. Waterproofs are carried as standard, and those solid winter boots have been polished up for another round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funny part is this in-between stage. Mornings are properly cold, demanding the full winter setup, while afternoons are still serving up enough warmth to make you sweat. So for the next few weeks, most of us are basically portable wardrobes \u2014 saddle bags filling up with discarded layers as the sun pushes through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Soon enough late autumn will shut the door on the warmth until spring 2026. Until then, we\u2019ll keep juggling two seasons on every ride. Stay warm out there, folks \u2014 and don\u2019t forget your waterproofs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
