{"id":1230,"date":"2024-01-22T10:20:03","date_gmt":"2024-01-22T10:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/?p=1230"},"modified":"2024-03-27T08:16:10","modified_gmt":"2024-03-27T08:16:10","slug":"ride-out-to-little-marlow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/01\/22\/ride-out-to-little-marlow\/","title":{"rendered":"Ride Out to Little Marlow"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>and a great lunch at the Queen&#8217;s Head.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ride Out To Queens Head Little Marlow\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Dc1HvMhWhgg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Let me share a lovely experience I had on a chilly yet sunny day in January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I headed out to Uxbridge to get my CB125F cleaned and then onto Little Marlow, a charming village I discovered during my research for places to visit and showcase in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intrigued to try out a new way of shooting and recording audio, I decided to take a ride to Little Marlow, and I am so glad that I did because it was an amazing experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The village is a little gem, and everyone there is incredibly proud of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has two fantastic pubs, the Queen&#8217;s Head and the King&#8217;s Head, which are worth a visit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since I prefer to travel via A roads in my PhotoMoto videos, I took the southern route via Burnham as I was in Uxbridge getting the bike cleaned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On my way back, I took the Google Maps preferred route via Denham &amp; Beaconsfield, which I plan to use again when I return in Spring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I arrived, I felt a bit hungry, so I stopped for lunch at the Queen&#8217;s Head. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I judge a pub based on how quickly I feel at home, and I have to say, the initial unease I feel upon entering many pubs quickly dissipated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was greeted warmly and ordered, what was, a delicious cappuccino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The specials board had me drooling over its offerings, and I ended up ordering a mouth-watering steak sandwich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"Steak Sandwich at the Queens head Little Marlow\" class=\"wp-image-1239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-1536x865.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-2048x1153.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-500x282.jpg 500w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-800x450.jpg 800w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-1280x721.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/davesphoto.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240118_140544-1920x1081.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As you&#8217;ll see in the video, the sun quickly shifted away from the photographic targets I had in mind, which included the red phone box, church, and Queens Head Pub, but that didn&#8217;t dampen my spirits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I plan to return in February after the snow has come and gone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I can&#8217;t wait to capture the beauty of the village on film, including its lake, the Thames, both pubs and many other wonderful things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I took two stunning shots of the church with the sun peeking from behind, and I will post the images here once I&#8217;ve developed the roll of 120. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lady behind the bar and a chap I met in the restroom, stop giggling at the back, provided me with a lot of information and inspiration to revisit and capture this gorgeous village on film. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s it for now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you enjoyed my new style video, I&#8217;d be thrilled if you could <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC_uHETaszPtH8lJrwRjc9WQ\">subscribe and like MY YOUTUBE channel<\/a><\/strong>.
