and progress updates on about my full bike licence journey.
Many of you will know of the motorbike magnet that is Rykas cafe at the base of Box Hill which is located in the Surrey countryside close to the town of Dorking.

After getting my haircut at Tony’s Barbers on Hanwell, somewhere I have been using for more than 30 years, and is also where Jim Marshall of Marshall amplifier fame used to make the now world famous amplifiers, I decided to take my first proper photoride to Box Hill.

Glad I did as the ride down was enjoyable, mostly, and at Rykas cafe at the base of Box Hill I met some really nice bikers and one in particular Joe who allowed me to photograph via my Hasselblad 500 c/m his vintage Triumph motorbike.

Many people were interest in my two vintage camera, maybe more that the bikes on show, and the fact that I still use film.
I got some nice shots but am arranging a better shoot of Joes bike and other classic vehicles very soon.

Sitting my MOD 1 test again.
It has been a couple of weeks now riding the CB125F and just recently I started to “get it”.
Riding smoothly, navigating bends well and generally enjoying my motorcycling experiences.
Confidence is high but not reckless. So much so I have rebooked my MOD 1 Training and Test days.
As you might remember I failed on the last avoidance test by riding 5kph to slow, but I believe now that I understand the way to ride at speeds, various, and am confident I can nail it this time……. fingers crossed.
