This is a simple but powerful tool in your film dev toolkit.
Will clear film dye and reduce wash times dramatically for both film and paper, on avg by half the normal wash time.
Formula:
Water 750 ml
Sodium Sulfite (anhydrous) 100 g
Sodium Metabisulfite 25 g
Cold water to make 1000 ml
I make this up before a development session and use it as single use.
I use Ilfords rinse routing of 5 inversions, then 10 then 20.
I then do the 20 inversion rince again using this hypo clear to make sure all the rapid fix is cleaned off my film or paper.
I then drop my film into a Ilford wetting agent (or Kodak photo-flo) bowl I have for 1 min before squeegeeing it off, then into my dryer to dry.
